"Just about 2 years ago, Harley, my beloved Boxer was nearing the end of his struggle with cancer. Needless to say, I was grieving from moment to moment.
Since Harley would be the first deceased pet in my adult life, I did some on-line research. I was astounded to learn that non-cremated pets are often sent to landfills. Even worse, many of them are sent to facilities that render their bodies for who knows what purpose. At that moment, I decided cremation would be the only choice. My Veterinarian euthanized Harley as I witnessed the procedure. This was difficult, but I'm so glad that I was there for him.
For personal reasons, I chose to have Harley cremated communally, knowing I would not get his ashes back. I was fine with this for a while and then I started wondering where his ashes were? This will always be a disheartening mystery to me.
Last month, it was time to euthanize my special cat, Socks. Once again, I asked myself, "Where will Socks' ashes go?" I selected Family Pet Mortuary to cremate him. I spoke to gentleman at the mortuary and he assured me that Socks' ashes would be scattered with many other pets in a peaceful place. It's just the thing I wanted to hear. Thanks a million to my friends at Family Pet Mortuary."
"Thank you all so much for handling the passing of our dog Scamper with dignity + respect. It was a very peaceful process and the stone is beautiful. Sincerely G+K Beck"
"Thank you for your wonderful services you provided. Wow! So different from the other two crematoriums. Yours was just so much nicer!! We both got tattoos of zorras paw. Thank you for that gift. I will pass on to everyone about your services. The best!" - Gordon + Julie Rohse
Dear Rob, Rick & John-
Thank you so much for helping us say good bye to our loved ones. The care and consideration you showed our pets was paramount in the grieving process. When our Lucy passed away in March, we did not have any knowledge of Family Pet Mortuary. When we were asked by Village Oak Veterinary Hospital what we wanted done with Lucy's remains we simply chose the method, private cremation, not knowing the service behind it. When the time came to pick Lucy up, much sooner than we expected, we were simply amazed at how she was returned to us. From the box personalized with her name on it, to the certificate and personally signed card with her tag. It was obvious there was a lot of care involved in the service provided.
It was not until Chloe passed away recently that we took the time to visit your website and learned more about what the process entails. We were even more impressed than before, if that was possible. From the way each pet is tagged shortly after passing with a personal ID to the individual casket for transportation - each step showed dignity and respect. Without even knowing each of your histories, what is immediately evident is that you are animal lovers.
Words cannot fully express how much we appreciate the service you provide. It is comforting to have them back with us as well as knowing that each of our babies were handled with dignity and respect.
Sincerely, James & Nancy Palkoner (Lucy's Dad & Mom) & Kelli Palkoner (Chloe's Mom)
Rick & John,
We can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciate what you did for our "Buster"! Rick, you went out of your way, on a holiday to help us through a very difficult time. There is not a person we know that we have not told how extraordinary your both are and how wonderful, kind, sympathetic and professional your are. We made a point to to tell Dr. Marks at Monte Vista Vet how thankful we were to have you taking care of our Buster!
Sincerely, Patti and Bob
Dear Rick and John,
It meant so much to me how Raley was returned to me. I appreciate the beautiful urn and the quickness. Thank you for making this hard time easier.
